Significant congestion & truck turnaround delays at DP World’s West Swanson Terminal (WST) in Melbourne over the last few weeks culminated in an online consultation between CTAA Alliance companies and DP World on Thursday, 10 November 2024.
Transport operators have been experiencing truck turnaround of several hours, leading to landside import & export volume demands not being met, compounding the workload on transport operators to meet export cut-offs and import pick-up / deliveries to customers.
As a result of the CTAA discussions, DP World has issued Amended Stack Run Guidelines which will be implemented immediately on a one-month trial period.
